I brought my dog to Good Foundations to work on his dog reactivity and he is so much improved! She really listened to my concerns and was able to work with both of us. My dog has gone from super reactive to basically all dogs to living happily with another male and barely reacting even when on leash.
Christine provided a wealth of professional expertise and experience as well as patience and encouragement. What more could a senior rescue pit bull mix (and her "mom" ask?)
Christine is awesome! After just 4 lessons my terrier Sadie is making great strides in learning how to behave when someone comes to the door. I’m thrilled! She went from being fairly aggressive to being quiet and simply interested in new people...tail wagging.
Good Foundations has given me great advice on keeping my dogs off of certain carpeting in the house! Life saver!
Roger, my 1.5 year old 50 pound mix of boxer and ridgeback, and I love Christine. She has been wonderful in both private and group sessions. Her advice for my problem area (Roger gets a whiff of fresh air and grass and turns into a whirlwind of energy) has been right on target. Her strategies have me in control and Roger a much better canine citizen. Love when we are walking and I use her techniques and others comment on how well-behaved he is. Would highly recommend Christine!
Christine is very patient and knowledgeable. She has incredibly good communication skills and I recommend her to anyone with the need for dog behavior help.
After just one session with Christine my Boston Terrier (and my ability as a dog owner) improved with just a few simple techniques. My dog gets super excited when people visit the house and now we have a very easy way to temper that behavior without having to lock her away. It's worked time and time again! Did I mention that my dog is 12 years old? Whoever said you can't teach an old dog new tricks hasn't met Christine.
I had a great experience with Good Foundations. Christine is the real deal - she is super knowledgeable about dog behavior, and is able to communicate training principles in an understandable and practical way. My 3-year-old dog has some issues with fear and aggression, and I signed him up for the package of seven private lessons plus four group lessons. We did the first four private lessons at Christine's home, then did three more in public places so my dog could practice meeting people and not freaking out. He is noticeably improved after just a few months, and I feel confident that I can continue using the training methods on my own (Christine makes clear that training is an ongoing process, not a quick fix).
I also did a set of eight agility lessons with Selina, which was incredibly fun! My dog seems more confident now, and it was a great way for us to bond and communicate in a new way. Selina is a great trainer and instructor, and knows a lot about agility! Since doing the agility lessons, I find that I am better at communicating with my dog and understanding him. I originally thought it would just be a fun thing to do for a few weeks, but I had so much fun that now I'm thinking about competing in the future!
A bit expensive, but worth every penny if you can afford it! My dog absolutely adores Christine and Selina, and seems to have really enjoyed training with them!
